Memorial Opera House Presents La Cage Aux Folles

La Cage Aux Folles Page Banner

Weekend Performances: April 26 Through May 12, 2019.

Winner of ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Musical Revival (2005, 2010), La Cage tells the story of Georges, the owner of a swanky and sexy Saint-Tropez nightclub, and his partner Albin who moonlights as the glamorous drag queen songstress Zaza. When their son brings his fiancee (and her conservative parents) home to meet the flashy pair, the bonds of family are put to the test as the feather boas fly! La Cage is a tuneful and touching tale of one family's struggle to stay together, stay fabulous, and above all else, stay true to themselves.

You roared at the movie The Birdcage, now marvel at the music that some call Jerry Herman's best!

Book by Harvey Fierstein
Music and Lyrics by Jerry Herman, the Tony Award winning composer of HELLO DOLLY! and MAME.
Based on the play by Jean Poiret
La Cage Aux Folles is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc
